Description
“Jamaica’s original indigenous people, the Taíno, called the island Xaymaca in their language, meaning “land of wood and water”. So known today, Jamaica is just that. However, within the wood and the water there are hidden gems. We would classify this property as ‘a hidden gem’. Manor View is like no other luxury property we have seen. It is a place where one may experience the luxuries of life whilst at the same time enjoying nature and the magnificent views of the ocean and surrounding countryside.
Manor View is a two-storey house approximately 15 minutes from the historical town of Falmouth situated on Jamaica’s north coast, about 18 miles east of Montego Bay. This traditionally designed 7 bedroomed home is set within 4.72 acres of luscious greenery, abundant with fruit trees, and tropical plants. The ground floor consists of a large living room with French style windows that boasts a captivating view of the garden and the ocean. There is also a large foyer; a powder room, an entertainment room and an open concept kitchen with a large integrated dining space. The pantry, laundry room and separate quarters for a helper (should one be needed) enhance the range of facilities here. Additionally, on the ground floor are two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. There is also an enclosed veranda, as well as an open veranda overlooking the garden and the ocean. A lovely spiral staircase takes you to the second floor.
On the second floor you will find the spacious and well-appointed master bedroom. This room has adjoining his and her walk-in closets and an en-suite bathroom that includes a large jacuzzi bath and steam shower. From the master bedroom, you can step out onto a large veranda where you can enjoy relaxing views of the garden and surrounding areas. Also on the second floor is a library and 3 further bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms.
Outside, the property includes coconut, mango, banana, plantain and many other fruit trees. There is plenty of land to plant many more fruit trees, vegetables and other tropical plants. An outdoor storage area, which can easily be converted to a man cave (or she shed!), adds to the scope and opportunities for a great living experience that this house provides.
It is also worth noting that the size and flexibility of this house enabled the current owners to use this property as a place for short term vacation stays for visitors from all over the world.
Manor View has much more to see and embrace. Call us today for a personal tour.”
